These aren't the kind of things that I'm thrilled about reporting on the blog, but it's certainly important that you're aware of this.   Yesterday, two mountain lions were spotted entering Edgewood Park in unincorporated San Mateo County.    Check out the brief article that was posted in the SM Daily Journal:

Mountain Lions Spotted in Edgewood Park

Although Edgewood Park is closer to Emerald Hills than San Carlos, there are still a number of San Carlos neighborhoods that are in close proximity to the park — especially those along the southern stretch of Crestview Drive.  Additionally, I know a number of San Carlos residents use Edgewood Park as their destination of choice for running and hiking.

Be sure to exercise the necessary caution if you plan to be around the park in the near future.   It's especially important to keep a close eye on small pets and children.

Great. Maybe they will put a dent in the deer and racoon populations.

Losing a few more skunks and rats wouldn’t hurt either…
