San Mateo County 2008 API Scores Released

The California Department of Education released the 2008 Academic Performance Index (API) scores yesterday.  The CDE has a pretty thorough website which allows you to search by school or by district, and also includes sections on Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and Program Improvement (PI).   If you’re interested in that level of detail, here’s the CDE site:

If you’re interested in a really good summary of how the San Mateo County schools fared, including high schools, the San Mateo Daily Journal (one of my favorite local newspapers) already did the work for you.   They pored through the state report and gleaned the most pertinent data in a nice summary form.  Here’s their article:
