Big Toys for the Big Boys (and Girls)…

There’s an old saying that goes something like this…

The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys…

If that saying is even remotely true, then a BIG toy store just opened in San Carlos:  Specialty Sales.

So, if your big boy likes nice cars like this one:

Specialty Sales: Lamborghini Murcielago

…then he’ll definitely like Specialty Sales.

Specialty Sales in San Carlos

Located at 850 El Camino Real,  Specialty Sales has a warehouse full of exotic and collectible automobiles that are being sold on consignment.   So as you stroll through the cavernous showroom, you’re just as likely to see an exotic breed like the aforementioned Lamborghini Murcielago or a snow-white Ferrari 355 Spider Convertible, as you will some classics like this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air:

Specialty Sales isn’t a new store — they also have other showrooms in Benecia and Pleasanton. But the San Carlos showroom is their first on this side of the bay, and probably San Carlos’ first ultra high-end car showroom (Tesla doesn’t count, since they don’t sell their cars in San Carlos.)  And “just how HIGH is high-end,” you ask? According to the salesman at Specialty, they just sold a rare Bugatti roadster for, get this….$1.1M. And they only had it in the showroom for 3 days. That’s more expensive than the average HOME in San Carlos!!   What recession???

So if you have an itch to see some very exotic rides, or some beautifully restored hot rods from your past, or you just want to see how big a 1957 Cadillac Coupe deVille really is (it’s huge!) you won’t have far to go.   Drop in and check this place out.

If you’re really adventurous, maybe you’ll drive home that Lamborghini….

…c’mon, it’s only $164,990.
