Once again this week, buying outpaced new listings in San Carlos. The net result is that the inventory of available homes for sale has dropped to 52. That’s a pretty low inventory by San Carlos standards. But what’s even more telling about this number is the following: Of these 52 listings, 85% have been on the market for 3 weeks or more. That means that not only is the inventory low, but it’s also getting stale….and buyers have far fewer new listings to choose from than it appears on the surface.
