The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 12/26/09

This week, the total number of homes sold so far this month surpassed the total for all of December 2008.  Why is this significant?  Because it's the fourth month in a row where sales have increased over the year-ago period.    This is a strong indicator that the San Carlos market is working its way out of the recessionary slump that held the market down for the first two-thirds of 2009.   Since January of '09 was a weak month, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this trend continue into the new year.
