Inventory Analysis
We saw a considerable surge in new listings in the $1M-$1.5M range this past week, as no fewer than 5 listings in that range came on the market. This has been an interesting segment to watch recently, since buyers in this range can still utilize the extended conforming loan of up to $729,750 – but doing so requires a much larger down payment. That hasn't seemed to deter many buyers. The other factor that helps this segment is that jumbo loans (those in excess of $729,750) are becoming easier to get.
