The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 5/29/10

Inventory Analysis

If you watch the market closely in San Carlos, you’ll notice that most homes come onto the market on either a Monday or a Friday.  Why?  Monday is the deadline to make Tuesday’s broker’s tour, and Friday is just convenient because it’s right before the Sat-Sun open houses.  So if you watched this week’s activity closely, it seemed to be a much busier-than-average week with over a dozen new listings – half of which hit the market on Friday.   But what’s helping to drive this number so high is the three day weekend — with offices closed Monday, the deadline for next week’s tour gets pushed up to Friday.  So in essences, you’re seeing next week’s early listings this week.

But regardless of how we got there, it was a great week for new listings! There are some really interesting options for those of you holding out for a 3BR home, even a few in White Oaks and Howard Park (finally!)
