The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 6/19/10

Inventory Analysis

Lately, it seems like no matter how many new listing and sales happen in a given week, the inventory of active listings continues to hover right around 60.  That’s actually a good indication that our market remains healthy, because homes are selling at about the same pace as they’re coming on the market.  And 60 is not a bad number of homes to have on the market at a given time.

As more listings come on the market in the coming weeks, one has to wonder whether the San Carlos market will experience the traditional summer slowdown of July and August?

  • the link to open houses works now. I enjoy your website. Keep up the good work
    I wonder if you could comment or do a brief column. I’m one of those with a dilemma. With two kids in med school, we’ve been sacrificing our creature comforts, vacations and most of all fixing and upgrading our house to help pay their tuitions. We’re educationally rich, but cash poor. While the outside is kept up, the inside of the house needs new bathrooms, kitchen and just about everything. Could we sell the house as is, without plunking down a lot of cash to remodel it like most of the open houses I see nowadays? We live in the San Carlos hills.
