A big surge of 16 new listings this past week pushed our inventory of homes for sale almost to almost 70. We haven’t seen that number in quite a while, and should bring some welcome relief to home buyers. Will that spell the end of multiple offers? I doubt it! There are several new listing below that I bet will see some fierce competition before they go into contract.
Another interesting note is over half of the homes that came on the market this week were priced over $1,000,000 — and of the 69 homes for sale on the market in San Carlos, 43% of them are priced above the $1M mark. This bucks the trend for much of the year that saw the homes in the sub-$1M segment simply dominating the inventory. Prices are indeed rising, and bigger homes are coming on the market.
