The Fastest Selling Neighborhood in San Carlos in 2010 Is…

We Have a Winner!

Last week we ran a poll to see if you could guess which of the six main “neighborhoods” in San Carlos sold the fastest in 2010, based on the average days on market (DOM).   And in true American Idol fashion, you voted in droves…  86 of you jammed the poll lines to cast your vote –  that's actually a great response for a poll that's only a week or so old, which tells me that this is a popular topic.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote.   Based on the results below, there seemed to be a runaway winner in many people's mind with nearly 60% of the vote.   Before we crown the winner, here is the final result of how you voted:

Did White Oaks actually come through?  The final result may surprise you. So with out further delay (drum roll, please), the fastest selling neighborhood in San Carlos in 2010 is…..

Howard Park

Most of you went with the trendy pick:  White Oaks.  I did too!   But Howard Park sometimes gets overshadowed by the reputation of White Oaks  when it comes to hot neighborhoods, and this data sure proves that point — at least for this year.  It also helped immensely that there were at least three homes that sold off-market in Howard park, which helped to pull the average down.

Here is the data for each of the six districts in San Carlos.

Thanks again to all who participated in the poll.   Look for another poll in the next week or so where we can guess which neighborhood was the most expensive, which has the largest home, or which has the most 1940's pink tile.   Anything is possible on this site.

Sorry I didn’t see the poll, but I don’t know where some of these neighborhoods are. Do people know that Clearfield Park is east of the tracks?
