The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 2-26-11

Summary.

The spring real estate market kicked into full gear this past week with 11 new listings hit the market, covering the spectrum from $650,000 to over $1.7M.    This brings some welcome relief to buyers who've had not much to choose from since the beginning of the year.    And more good news should be on the horizon — normal peak spring inventory runs between 60-70 homes, so in order to reach that plateau we should expect to a continued push of new listings in the coming weeks.

Another good sign of market strength is that some of the older inventory is starting to sell.  All four homes that went into contract this week had been on the market for between 2-4 months, which sometimes seems like an eternity in the San Carlos market.
