5% to San Carlos Schools.

Here's a great way to stock up on your groceries and help San Carlos Schools at the same time.  On Tuesday March 8, the Whole Foods Market in Redwood City will generously donate 5% of its revenue for the entire day to the San Carlos Educational Foundation.  If you're a die-hard Whole Foods shopper, make sure you do your weekly shopping trip on this day.   If you're not a normal Whole Foods shopper, this is the perfect excuse to check this great grocery market.  It's a unique experience in grocery shopping, with all of the specialty counters and activities that take place in the store.  On March 8th alone, here are some of the activities that will take place in the store:

  • 10-12 AM – Morning Makeovers – Whole Foods estheticians will do your makeup and show their products in the Whole Body Dept
  • Meal Deals for a Family of 4 – Any entree plus 3 side dishes for $29.99
  • Try the samples in every department
  • 5PM – San Carlos School District music students

So stock up at Whole Foods on Tuesday, and you'll be helping the San Carlos Educational Foundation!  Here's how to get there:

Sorry, I haven’t been inside a Whole Foods since the owner took out a full page ad opposing “Obama Care” more than a year ago. He then said it’s not fair to boycott the store because of his personal views. Welcome to the real world.

Give me a day at Mollie Stone, Safeway, Nob Hill, Lucky, etc.

It was the CEO and co-founder, not the owner.

I dropped by the Redwood City store earlier today and bought…nothing. There’s a reason people call it the “Whole Paycheck ” Store.
