Want the Low-Down on Crime?

The San Carlos Bureau of the San Mateo Sheriff's Department announced that it has scheduled its annual installment of its popular San Carlos Town Hall Meeting.  This will be the third year that the Department has hosted this informative meeting, and the very first since they've been under the guidance of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department.   If you attended any of the previous year's meetings,  you'll know that San Carlos Police Department posted some very impressive statistics in the key crime prevention metrics — even more impressive considering how understaffed and underpaid the Department was during that period.

The 3rd Annual Town Hall Meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 7 from 6:30 – 8:30 in the San Carlos City Council Chambers, and will cover the following topics:

  • Crime Statistics and Trends.
  • Crime Prevention Strategies.
  • Emergency Preparedness Information.
  • Public Information Strategies.
  • Community Engagement Accomplishments and Plans.
  • Questions and Answers.

If you're concerned at all about crime in San Carlos, this is a very worthwhile two hours of your time.  It will be even more interesting this year to see how the transition of police service to the Sheriff's Department has impacted public safety in San Carlos.   For more information on the meeting, download the flyer here:  San Carlos Townhall 2011 Flyer
