Reminder: Giants’ World Series Trophy Visits San Carlos Today.

by Chuck Gillooley

Burton Park, 3:00-5:00 PM.

Giants fans, that very same trophy that Buster is hoisting over his head will be on display today at Burton Park from 3:00-5:00 PM (sans Buster, unfortunately.)   One would expect a huge turnout for such a special event, so be sure to arrive early and plan on staying awhile.   A big thanks to San Carlos resident Pat Bonds (Barry Bond’s mother) and Mayor Andy Klein who, according to this article in the Mercury News, were instrumental in getting San Carlos on the list for the World Series Trophy tour.    It’s not every town in the Bay Area that gets a special visit by a championship trophy, after all.

Now, if we can only get the San Jose Sharks to land that elusive Stanley Cup….sigh.
