The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 8/22/2016.

It’s back to school time in San Carlos, as most of the public and private schools kicked off their 2016-17 school year starting last week. This is significant because it marks the unofficial start of the Fall real estate market in San Carlos. There was a time when that didn’t happen until after Labor Day weekend, but with school start date inching earlier every year, it seems as is if the we kick into gear a few days earlier every year.

This is usually great news for home buyers, since we have historically seen a spike in new listings over the first 3-4 weeks of the fall market, as sellers look to get their homes sold well before we start to settle in for the holidays. This makes it that much more important for buyers to stay on task as the inventory starts to turn with greater frequency.
