The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 1/23/2017.

As we finish up the third week of the new year, it’s apparent that buyers are still clearly outnumbering sellers throughout the Peninsula, and especially in San Carlos.  It’s very evident with homes at the “entry-level” of the market. The homes at 941 Holly Street and 961 Cherry Street reportedly got strong multiple offers and were pending sale only a week after they listed. The open house at 1723 Alameda was swamped (with people, not water) on both Saturday and Sunday.  So any thoughts about the market leveling off are going to have to wait until more inventory is built up along the Peninsula.  If or when that happens is anyone’s guess, but for now 2017 very much has a 2015 feel to it so far.

The numbers aren’t much better for condos and townhouses either. Entering this week, there are only two for sale in the entire city.
