The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 4/10/2017.

Just a week after a significant surge of new listings stole the headlines in San Carlos, home buyers were back in force taking a significant chunk out of the temporarily increased inventory. Eight homes went into contract last week with only four new listings to replace them. The net effect is that inventory of single family homes in San Carlos once again has dropped back to single-digits, as it sits at nine.

This is encouraging news for home sellers that still plan to put their home on the market this spring. At this time last year, buyers took a step back and market consequently leveled off quite noticeably. But from a few reports that I heard about the homes that went into contract last week, there are still far more eager buyers than there are homes to fill the demand.

However, there is still a significant number of new listings that are still likely to hit the market between now and the end of May, so if you’re still in the market to buy a home in San Carlos the coming weeks should present your best opportunity yet.
