Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone gets time to relax today, enjoy friends and family, and reflect on what this day stands for. Home buyers certainly hustled to lock up homes before the holiday weekend. Nearly twice as many homes were put into contract as there were new listings. The week started with 20 homes for sale, but ended with only 14 which is the lowest level we've seen in weeks. This could partly be due to sellers opting to wait until after the holiday weekend to list their homes, or it could be an indication that the rate of new listings is going to drop as we head into the summer months. Either way, inventory just got a whole lot more scarce for home buyers in San Carlos.
