The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 1/8/11

Summary.
The San Carlos real estate market is slowly rolling out of its winter slumber. Just a handful of new listings to see, and only one home that went into contract during the prior week. All fairly normal for this time of the year. The inventory of available homes dropped to 33, which is less than half of what it will likely be during the peak spring months. That means the sooner you get your home on the market this year, the less competition you will have.
Low inventory is always frustrating to home buyers, but throw in the fact that the average days on the market for these 33 homes is 111 days, there truly is very little new to see in our market right now. Hopefully that will change in the coming weeks…
