The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 10/17/2016.

The ebb and flow of the real estate market this time of year can be simply amazing. Last week, we only saw one new listing hit the market, and the inventory dropped to 12 homes for sale. Then, another 8 homes to hit the market, and we are back up to 20. It is very hard to predict what is going to happen week to week this time of the year, but sellers do know that they need to get their homes on the market fairly soon to take advantage of the extra daylight and decent weather.  And this past weekend, we only had one of the two.

What will this week bring? I think you'll see a continued push of new listings hitting the market as sellers catch the trailing edge of the Fall real estate market. There are still 2.5 weekends of full daylight left until Daylight Savings Time ends, so I expect that activity will be brisk until that point.
