The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 11/13/2017.

San Carlos home prices remain quite stable as we enter the mid-fall market. The average price for a home sale in San Carlos crossed the $2,000,000 mark again this past week, with the median price trailing slightly at just a little over $1,800,000.  For anyone who has lived in San Carlos for more than 10 years, those numbers are simply stunning.

Despite the record number of listings that we experienced during the month of September, the total number of listings for single-family homes through the month October are slightly down in San Carlos for 2017 (273), versus the same time period in 2016 (280).  2015 still holds the lowest total for the first 10 months at 235 listings.

That data is somewhat surprising, because it sure felt as if we were seeing more listings this year than what we experienced last year. But this simply reinforces the fact that the housing market remains tight in San Carlos.
