The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 2/5/2018.

If it seemed like there was virtually nothing to choose from in the San Carlos real estate market in January, it's not just your imagination.  There were only 16 new single-family listings in the entire month of January, and while this was on par with January of 2017, it's about 25% less than what we would historically see in the first month of the year.

So as we head into February, there are only 6 single-family homes and 2 condos for sale in the entire city — and far more buyers than there are places to put them. When you see some of the closing prices in the coming weeks (like the one below), you'll see the direct impact that this situation is having on home prices in San Carlos. We'll discuss the situation in a bit more detail on another post later this week, but it's pretty tough going right now for buyers who are trying to make San Carlos their next home.
