The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 4/2/2018.

Happy Easter!  The first quarter of 2018 is officially in the books, and it would be an understatement to say that it was a wild three months in our local real estate market. No matter what was thrown at it, the housing market simply shrugged it off and kept pushing upward.

This past week is a perfect example of what we have seen all quarter — very strong sales prices that are multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars over the list prices. 213 Hillcrest Road fetched an eye-popping $605,000 premium, and there were several others that had upsides of over $300,000.  Homes that closed escrow last week fetched an average of 17% over their respective list prices. So if there's supposedly any indication that our market is slowing down, I'm just not seeing it.
