The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 4/16/2018.

It was a surprisingly busy week for new listings in San Carlos, with many sellers taking advantage of the Spring break week to list their homes while they were away for the week. Eight new listings tested the market, which pushed the inventory of homes for sale in San Carlos up to 19 — one of the higher levels that we've started a week off with in quite a while.With Memorial Day weekend now only 6 weeks away, look for a significant increase in listing activity over this stretch as sellers look to cash in on the Spring market and get their homes sold prior to the summer break.

There's a new data column that I have added to the Homes Sold table below.  Starting this week, I will track the $/sq foot of all single family homes sold in San Carlos.  While we can debate all day about the usefulness of this metric in assessing the value of homes, it has certainly become the most talked about data point recently as home prices continue to escalate in San Carlos.
