The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 7/2/2018.

It may be hard to believe, but the first half of 2018 is over, and we're now heading into what are traditionally two of the slower months in the real estate calendar — July and August.  While homes will continue to sell during these two months, the traffic and activity level always drops off noticeably during these two months as home buyers take a break and head out on vacation.  This presents a great opportunity for those buyers that remain focused and committed to purchasing a home.  With less competition, and perhaps some stale inventory, these two months are generally when some of the best deals are struck.

In San Carlos, we start the week with a relatively sparse inventory of only 13 homes for sale. Since the 4th of July falls mid-week this year, it will likely be a quiet period for listings and purchases with many buyers being gone for the entire week.
