As predicted, the holiday week produced scant activity in the San Carlos real estate market. Only two homes went into contract, and one single listing decided to test the market. The inventory of homes for sale in San Carlos dropped to 11, but there are still some more homes that will be hitting the market between now and the end of July, as some sellers look to take advantage of the anemic inventory levels.

Despite the slim inventory, this is still one of the best times of the year for home buyers to achieve their goal of home ownership. With many buyers taking a break from the market, the activity level and competition is usually lowest in the summer months of July and August, which makes for some of the most favorable buying conditions you'll see all year.  Some of the best deals that I have been able to secure for my buyer clients have been in the month of July!!
