The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 7/23/2018.

The activity in the San Carlos real estate market picked up somewhat last week, as more buyers seem to be re-entering the market after the early-summer break.  Four homes were put into contract, which was only slightly surpassed by the five new listings that hit the street. This nudged the inventory of homes for sale to 12 in the entire city — still not a lot for many buyers to choose from.

The average days on market for the existing inventory is still sitting at just under 1 month, which is largely skewed by 5 of these homes that have been sitting on the market for a range of 30-100 days.  This is certainly something we have not seen much since the housing market started it's climb nearly a decade ago, but it shows that buyers have their limits even in a strong seller's market like this one.
