The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 8/6/2018.

Despite the fact that the calendar states that it's still Summer, we are now starting to see the very beginning of the Fall market for real estate, since many schools will be starting back up in the next couple of weeks.  That means vacations are drawing to a close, and buyers are starting to step back into the market again. In the past, this market period wouldn't commence until after Labor Day weekend, but with schools seemingly inching up their start date every year, the market is kicking back into full swing by mid-August.

The activity certainly reflected this last week with a noticeable increase in new listings and pending sales from the prior week.  Look for the rate of new listings to increase as well in the coming weeks, as home sellers look to get an early jump on the Fall market.
