The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 9/17/2018.

For the second straight week, the San Carlos real estate market saw a steady diet of new listings. There were 14 new single-family residence listings to hit the market last week, just shy of the 16 that hit the market the week before. That brings the total available inventory of homes for sale up to 35, which is a level that we have not seen all year, and puts the market on a pace to exceed the 53 new listings that hit the market in September of 2017.

How the market reacts to this sudden influx of listings will be interesting to see.  Some homes will sell just like they would in an environment with sparse inventory, but look for some price reductions on some of the languishing listings as they struggle to stay visible in a suddenly crowded real estate market in San Carlos.
