The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 3/25/2019.

As one might expect as we head into the thick of the Spring real estate market, sellers were slightly more active in the San Carlos market than were buyers last week.  Seven new listings hit the market, while six of the existing inventory was put into contract.  This left the inventory of homes for sale unchanged from last week at 21.  An amazing statistic about these 21 homes is that the average list price is now above $2.5M — it's hard to imagine for those of us who have lived in San Carlos for decades that we'd ever see a figure like this, but this is the reality of the market that we live in.

This week's indication by the Federal Reserve that they will not be raising rates again this year should keep the activity level high in the local market as buyers take advantage of steady interest rates.
