Welcome to June!  June is a month that marks the transition into “summer mode” for the real estate market. While homes certainly still sell during the month of June, there's always a noticeable drop in open house traffic and sales activity since buyers are now being pulled in multiple directions.  Weddings, graduations, and vacations now compete for the attention of house hunters, so it seems as if there are fewer buyers in the market. If you're a patient buyer, June and July are great months to shop for homes because of this seasonal pause in the market.

San Carlos enters the month of June with 23 homes for sale, just slightly higher than last week, and there are 7 new listing for buyers to consider. Buying conditions remain favorable, as home mortgage interest rates have actually dropped somewhat in the past two weeks due to concerns about a slowing economy.
