The Recap.

Happy May Day and Cinco de Mayo!  The month of April is officially in the books, and as you can see in this post it was a very tough month for local real estate.  April marked the first full month of operating under shelter in place restrictions, and we will now see the results of these measures as the May sales figures start to roll out.  Spoiler alert: The May numbers will be anemic as well, likely even worse than April.

In the interim, the San Carlos real estate market is still inching along in a limited capacity.  Six homes were put into contract last week, which was double the amount from the previous week.  This shows that there are indeed buyers out there that are navigating the challenging economic waters.  The inventory of single-family homes remained pretty constant right around 20 as a number of homes that were pulled off the market during the initial days of the shelter in place we re-listed.
