The Recap.
The activity in the San Carlos real estate market last week could probably be best characterized as “slow and steady”. The inventory of single family homes for sale remained constant at 20, as the number of new listings were essentially matched by the number of homes that were put into contract.
The activity that leads up to listings — inspections, stagings, photography shoots, etc. — all are reporting dramatically increased activity, which indicates that more listings are primed to hit the market in the coming weeks. This should be welcome news to home buyers as we slowly emerge from the shelter in place. It feels like the spring real estate market is finally almost here, albeit 3 months late.
