The Recap.

San Carlos home buyers didn't have a lot to choose from last week, and the sales activity reflected this.  Only two homes were put into contract, while just four homes decided to test the early December market.  This is typical activity for this time of year, and we can expect to see similar results for the remaining weeks of 2020.

Speaking of 2020, it's worth noting that despite the pandemic and the resulting shelter-in-place, the total sales volume in the San Carlos real estate market has already surpassed the total sales for 2019 — and we still have 3.5 weeks left in the year!  I can tell you that nobody could foresee this happening when we were sitting completely idle in March.   But that's the sign of a strong real estate market, and there's no reason to believe that this won't continue in 2021.
