The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 2/14/22

The Recap.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Buying activity definitely outpaced listing activity last week in the San Carlos real estate market. 9 homes were put into contract, with only 2 new listings to replace them. The end result is that our inventory of single-family homes is once again in single digits (8). Belmont, a similar sized city, is even worse off than San Carlos with only 5 homes for sale.

Now that the Super Bowl has concluded, we all expect to see a healthy uptick in the rate of new listings — let's see if that expectation turns into reality. The market desperately needs a boost in inventory, since this has been one of the most sparse starts to a new year than we've had in a long time.
