The NEW White Oaks Blog!

A Major Upgrade!

After 16 years, 1,920 articles, and nearly 3,000 comments, I'm beyond excited and relieved to roll the most significant upgrade to the White Oaks Blog since it was launched in 2007. Frankly, this update is long overdue and I sincerely appreciate all of the loyal readers for hanging in their while I bootstrapped this site for the past few years. If there are two things I've learned since I started in real estate, it's that you should never try to sell your own house, and you should never try to run your own website!

Well, I finally took my own advice and handed this task over to the pros at 428 Designs. They delivered a platform that is not only infinitely more visually appealing, but it's also much more stable and higher performing than my home-grown version. I'm absolutely thrilled with the outcome, and I hope you are too!

The new version of the White Oaks Blog has other content-related improvements as well. There's an updated section on all of the neighborhoods in San Carlos, and we'll be rolling out a LOT of new video content, so stay tuned!

Just a couple of reminders on how to get the most out of this site:

• Subscribe! Down in the lower right hand corner of the site, you can enter your email address and the site will automatically email you whenever there's a new post or change to the site.
• Comment: If you have an opinion about any of the articles, feel free to leave a comment below the post.
• Feedback: Remember, this is YOUR site. Are there topics that you want to see covered? School events, new restaurants, parks? Just email me and I'll be happy to write more posts on these topics. At the end of the day, I want this site to be more useful for you.

But even though just about everything is shiny and new on the updated site, one thing remains OG: The writing. There's a LOT of talk about artificial intelligence today, and many real estate agents are leaning heavily on AI to write their marketing literature. Not here. Since I began the blog in 2007, I have personally written every one of the 1,900+ articles — no guest writers, and no AI — and that's not going to change. For better or for worse, I will continue to write 100% of the content for this site, so you're stuck with Boomer Intelligence instead of Artificial Intelligence!

I sincerely hope that you like the new look and feel of the vastly improved White Oaks Blog, and I deeply appreciate the followers who continue to read the site after all of these years. It's because of you that I'm doubling down on improving the experience, rather than letting it sit and die a slow digital death.
