The Recap:
Daylight Savings has ended, and aside from getting an extra hour of sleep on Sunday, we are now at that part of the year where it gets dark very early, and it makes viewing homes in during the weekday evenings extra difficult. This, combined with the shift in focus toward the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, is why we start to see a noticeable decrease in the real estate selling activity in the final two months.
Buyers still have lots of options to get into a home well before the Christmas holidays, though. Since banks are not busy right now processing loans, many are able to turn entire loan processes around in as little as 15 -21 days. So if you're a home buyer in this market and you're ready to hang 'em up for the year, you still have plenty time be in your home in time for Christmas. There are 25 homes currently on the market in San Carlos right now that are looking for those holiday buyers.
