The Recap:

It wasn't the busiest of weeks in the San Carlos real estate market from the statistics standpoint, but that didn't mean it wasn't busy. There were no homes that closed escrow last week (a rarity even in a tight market like this), and only 4 new listings entered the market. That brought the inventory of homes for sale in San Carlos up to a paltry 12 to start this week, and that number will likely go down before it goes up since several recent listings will be taking offers this week.

But the few homes that were open this week had very strong turnouts, which just typifies the January real estate market — far more buyers than there are homes to buy. It will be very interesting to see if that disparity parlays into strong offer prices. Check in next week for the answer!
