The Recap:

Conditions are slowly starting to improve for both buyers and seller of residential real estate in San Carlos. This past week mortgage interest rates dropped ever so slightly, and they are now at the lowest level in over a year. Most experts in this market agree that this is just the beginning of a series of rate reductions that will take place as we head toward the end of 2024. This should bring more buyers back into the game while also motivating more home owners to finally take the leap and sell.

If it's any indication, my listing at 2125 Howard Avenue sold last week with multiple offers before it even hit the first open house weekend, so it appears that there is still quite a bit of pent-up demand for housing heading into the Fall market.

Inventory is still on the low side with only 13 homes for sale. I will be listing another 4BR home this week at 252 Edgehill Drive in San Carlos so stay tuned to the blog for details on this gem!
