The Recap:

Happy Veteran's Day to everyone, especially those of you who served so that the rest of us didn't have to. We start this week off with the realization that there will be a new administration in the White House starting in January. It's too early to tell what effect, if any, this is going to have on the residential real estate market. The stock market seemed to react favorably to the election results with four straight days of significant gains. That alone helps the real estate market since it tends to embolden buyers to write stronger offers, and it brings more buyers back into the game.

Now, if we could just generate more listings… On that note, there were five new listings to hit the market last week. I don't think you'll continue to see that pace of new listings going forward since we're just a few weeks from the Thanksgiving break. Many potential sellers at this point will just wait until the new year to list.
