The Recap:

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving week — I know I sure did. It was fabulous to take a short break to travel and see family and friends!

As expected, this was a very slow week in the San Carlos real estate market. As we are now in the final month of 2024, it's apparent that, barring a huge resurgence in December, this year will mark the low point in both new listings and closed sales for single-family homes in San Carlos. We'll talk about it in more detail when I wrap up 2024 at the end of the month, but high interest rates and capital gains taxes are keeping more and more San Carlos families in their homes when they would ideally look to change their latitude and attitude (to steal from a Corona commercial).
