The San Carlos Real Estate Week in Review: 12/30/24

The Recap:
In nearly 18 years of writing this blog, I don't recall a single week where I said “nothing happened last week in the San Carlos real estate market” because something was always happening — even this late in the year, or over a holiday week. There was always a closed sale to report, or a home put under contract.
Well, this week I can confidently report that nothing happened last week in the San Carlos real estate market. Literally nothing — no new listings, no homes put into contract, and no closed sales.
You can chalk part of this up to having Christmas fall right in the middle of the week, but it's also indicative of how constrained our local real estate market is right now, as you'll see in the upcoming 2024 Year in Review that will be posted just after New Year. I've already compiled most of the statistics, and they are quite remarkable.
