The Recap:

After what seemed like an eternity with little or no inventory to offer, the San Carlos real estate market appears to be poised for a solid rebound in January. Just last week, six new listings hit the market, and it is evident from the inquiries that I'm getting from other homeowners that more homes are coming right behind these.

This is great news for both buyers and sellers, believe it or not. When inventory gets so constrained that there are only 1-2 homes in an entire city to choose from, buyers tend to retreat to the sidelines and nothing moves. If this current pace of new listings continues, we should see a brisk early-Spring market in San Carlos — especially since this is already happening before the mid-point of January.
