The Recap:

As I predicted in last week's update, there was a noticeable uptick in new single-family home listings in San Carlos. Seven new single-family listings hit the market last week, which pushed the inventory of homes for sale up to 23. Two of those homes for sale are listed at over $7M, which is something that you don't see every day in San Carlos.

Home mortgage interest rates remain favorable, and are now sitting at the lowest levels that we've seen in nearly a year. This has created a new crop of fall buyers who weren't in the market back in the spring when rates were higher and the stock market was far more volatile. Their presence was very noticeable over the past few open house weekends.
