The Recap:

The real estate market last week in San Carlos behaved just about as expected for the first week after the Super Bowl – meaning there was a good surge of new listings. Seven new homes hit the market, while only 2 were put under contract. That helped to push the paltry inventory of homes for sale in San Carlos up to 16, but that number will be short-lived because there are several of those 16 homes that definitely be put under contract this coming week. There will be more new listings this week to fill that void.

Last week, I gave a shout-out about the San Carlos Wine Walk, which took place on Friday night. We were thrilled to participate in the fundraiser for the San Carlos Park and Recreation Foundation, and we had an absolute blast. It was so much fun to see so many of my San Carlos friends and clients, and sample some very good wines. But it was equally fun to step inside some of the amazing boutique retailers that make the downtown San Carlos shopping district such a unique and desirable place to shop.

There are some great new storefronts on Laurel Street, and a few familiar names that have dramatically changed their focus and trajectory. If you haven't made a point of shopping local and supporting these family-owned businesses, you're in for a special treat. Support our local businesses!
